The Prodigal Son

The Father, the very image of God, welcomes his son into an embrace overflowing with mercy. The young man, barefoot and dressed in rags, abandons himself completely to Him, his head bowed and his hands outstretched for support. His nakedness and poverty become a visible sign of the condition of sin and loss from which he is lifted up and redeemed.
